Modern Garage Design Ideas

Modern garage is not only as the car park, but also as the storage, so the function of the garage itself has developed, suited the modern period. Usually, the classic garage design has an area for the car park only, but as the time goes on, the modern lifestyle that makes everything as efficient as it possible, influences the garage design as the storage room.

In this modern period, we have two types of modern garage, the garage that’s attached to the house, or the divided garage. Those options made based on the necessity of the numbers of the cars. If you have more than two cars, it’s wise if you choose the divided garage so that you can have “free space” to accommodate your cars.

Since the modern garage is not all about the car park, you have to design it as your necessity using it. For the whole family, a modern garage has to be a storage room, such as to keep gardening tools, sport equipments, and many more. Therefore, you have to design it carefully to facilitate the whole family’s needs. Consider using garage special cabinets that resist rust and moisture.

For the flooring of the modern garage, there are many options for you, of course based on what you need. The options consist of conblock, exposed bricks, polypropylene, vinyl tiles, and garage mat. Of course, every choice of flooring has its own advantages and disadvantages.

As the modern garage, we have to be capable of optimizing it, more than just a car park. Design it as one of the hangouts rooms or just add a simple porch right in the front of the garage. This design can also maximize the small area modern house, where you can’t have more space to create a patio. Therefore, why don’t you have the activity area in the front of your modern garage.
