House entrance ideas, they sometimes wouldn’t the first ideas that come to our mind when we design our home. But, the foyer, or the front entrance, is the first room where people see when they come into your home. Therefore, the foyer needs to be carefully designed and decorated, so that the ambience, the nuance, and the positive first impression you’d like to show to people, would easily be realized.
Coloring
Warm colors, like brown, cream and beige are the most preferred colors for the foyer. Choose the color that matches with the next rooms. It would be better if you’d choose the same color with the adjoining rooms, but with some calm textures to accent the foyer.
The Wall
Avoid having blank walls in your foyer, you’d find it boring. Give one focal point in your foyer, with a few components. For example, a big painting as the focal point, you can put some small vases and several photo frames. If you have a small foyer, consider hanging a mirror where it can reflect the next room.
Furnitures
Furnitures are the most important part of your foyer. Don’t place the sofas right behind the door, it will make the room narrow, put them a bit to one side of the foyer. Add a medium wooden table to display your photo frames. If you want to optimize the foyer, you can also place a built-in storage compartment to place the shoes, coats, or umbrellas.
Lighting
Lighting has a vital contribution in any room of your house, not only the foyer. Therefore, start from the foyer, install a chandelier right in the middle of your foyer, because chandeliers will match with any kind of interior design. To embellish your foyer, consider using one spot lamp to give the cozy atmosphere for your guests that come in the night.
Finishing Touches
As the finishing touches for your foyer, why don’t you put a plant, a small plant in the corner of your foyer. Besides beautifying the room, it will also improve the air quality inside the house.
